I’ve been wearing Vans all throughout High School and through College and still to this day. Throughout the years, I’ve worn everything from Vans Authentic lace up shoes and then in High School their Old Skool and now I’ve settled in on their slip on shoes. I first started wearing Vans Slip Ons not because I wanted to but because of the modern reality of airport security where one has to takeoff their shoes and put them through the X-Ray machines.
While Vans lace up shoes are comfortable, they are one pain in the arse to take on and off going through airport security screening. As of 2012, I’ve switched over to wearing Vans Slip Ons and while I do still have a pair of Old Skool around, I’ve been wearing the Slip Ons exclusively. When I travel, I pack a pair of Nike running shoes in my luggage but 90% of the time, I’m wearing my well worn in pair of Vans Slip Ons.
My current pair of Vans Slip On which has been with me traveling internationally through:
- St Petersburg Russia
- Moscow Russia
- Quebec City
- Niagara Falls ON
- Vancouver BC
is ready for retirement. To replace my current Vans Slip On, I ordered and received a pair of new Vans Slip On in black. Since 2012, this is my 4th pair of Vans Slip Ons and hopefully these new black pair will keep me comfortable during my trips in 2018 and beyond.
